This is the beginning.

The most beautiful thing about being a Christian is learning to live under God's mercy. The body of Christ is not a community of perfect people, but a community of forgiveness. Each day God gives us an opportunity for a new beginning. With Him, its never too late.

Too often I fall into complacency. Too often I think I am doing enough. Too often I think of myself as a good Christian, a good Catholic. Yet God is constantly yearning for my heart, desiring me to turn to Him. No matter how many times I slip up, the Lord always welcomes me back into his arms with great joy.

Our God is a better lover than we are sinners.

Today has been a glorious day. One of those days where God is everywhere I turn- directly revealing himself to me. The gospel at mass today was extremely compelling. Receiving the Eucharist was humbling. Fellowship with a dear friend was intensely revealing.

Fellowship is a beautiful opportunity to encounter the Lord face to face in this world. He places people in our lives for many different reasons. To teach us lessons, of what to do and what not to do. I had an amazing conversation today with Leah, both of us sharing our hearts with each other, truly encountering authentic friendship. Through our chat, we both realized the complacency we have slipped into, the sins we have been committing. We determined what led to such actions, as well as committed to a plan to strive for holiness. This blog is going to be a simple way to keep my focus on the cross. In our wold today it is so easy to walk through the day without acknowledging the fact that without Christ, nothing is possible. We live and breathe because He allows us to. This will give me an opportunity to reflect on my daily life.

Life gets crazy, life gets hard. We are all sinners. But the Lord welcomes us home at all times. I will my life to be pleasing to the Lord and I will strive for it to do so.

Pray for me, that I may continue to seek the narrow path, and to never doubt the mercy of the Lord.
